In 2018, Jenn Drummond was involved in a car accident.  Rescue workers couldn’t imagine any scenario where she came out of it alive, but she did.

Inspired to climb a mountain for her birthday, her son raised the stakes by suggesting Mount Everest. Not one to back down from a challenge, she accepted the pursuit. During her training, her coach upped the ante and proposed that she go for a Guinness World Record and become the first woman to climb the 7 second summits. The pursuit matched her desire to live a life of significance, not just success.

 

Today, Jenn is a world record holder who elevates others to master their own summit in life.  She’s a successful business owner and mom of 7 kids who, as you have heard, boldly inspire and brazenly challenge her.

Brenda Tracy. She is a nurse, speaker, activist, and survivor. In 1998, she reported to police that she was brutally raped by four men, two of whom played football at Oregon State University. 

 

In 2014, she found the courage to come forward with her story and now seeks to make the world a better place for survivors. 

 

As a citizen lobbyist, Brenda has helped with the passage of eight laws in her home state of Oregon. 

 

She has won numerous awards and was named ESPN’s top 25 women in 2016, one of Sports Illustrated most powerful women in sports in 2020, and in 2022, ESPN’s 11 Biggest Power Brokers and Advocates Shaping College Football. 

 

Brenda Tracy is the creator of the “Tracy Rule” which is the most comprehensive serious misconduct policy in NCAA history, and she is the founder of the national campaign and nonprofit, Set The Expectation. 

 

Her message of “men as the solution and not the problem” is transforming the landscape of sports and how we engage in gender-based violence prevention work.

Cristy Kisner is the author of the gluten-free, dairy-free and processed food-free cookbook, Cristy’s Kitchen.

Mac Dorris, who founded The Ride for Mental Health inspired by his son, Eric. Eric struggled with mental health issues as a young man. He was eventually diagnosed with borderline personality disorder among other conditions, and tragically died of an accidental overdose at the age of 21. 

 

Mac, an avid cyclist, created The Ride to honor his son’s life, and to shine a light of hope and caring for others. Eric’s memory lives on in the important work being funded by The Ride for Mental Health, and in the moments of connection and camaraderie that make the event so rewarding.

Juan Escobedo is a multi-talented award-winning actor, director.

 

He is also a very talented photographer with his photography being widely praised. The Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs started publishing Mr. Escobedo’s photography in 2012 as part of the City of Los Angeles Heritage Month Celebrations. 

 

One of his most notable works of photography, Trash and Tears, was a series of photographs depicting models posing, surrounded by trash in an attempt to explore the issues of hoarding, mental health, poverty, and drug addiction.  

 

Recently, the Los Angeles County Department of Arts & Culture launched the Collective Memory Installation as part of its Illuminate LA initiative.

Director and writer Eirik Veiten wrote and directed his first acclaimed short FRIENDLY PEOPLE in 2010. He has written and directed 14 short films. 

 

His work includes different genres and stretches from high realism to stylized comedy. 

 

His recent short film NIGHT RIDE was awarded the Audience Award at The Norwegian Short Film Festival and has since won 5 awards at festivals around the world. 

 

It has also been nominated for an Academy Award in the Live Action Short Film category for this year’s Oscars.
